Mr. Jim is the real Mr. Weather. I knew him since I came to SW Florida in 2006. Wish him healthy, enjoy his retirement. We’ll ll miss him on air. Thank you for the 29 years of services.

UGH!!!! Happy and sad at the same time!!!! Wow, how time seems to fly!!!! Not looking at facing another hurricane season without you, Jim… but enjoy your retirement, you have definitely earned it. Take care and well wishes to you in the future.

I grow up watching Jim ever afternoon and i am going to miss his weather reports. I remember hearing him when the Hurricanes were on Florida golf coast Jim would talk on TV until the lights went out or when the radio signal was out too. Thank you Sir for those reports.
-Adriana, a watcher from Fort Myers resident, just down from WINK News Station.
Wow, just wow. I can not believe you are retiring. God for you, and the best of luck. May you enjoy it to the fullest.
That being said, Dang Jim, I’m going to miss your ” factual ” weather reporting.I always go to you, especially when a storm approaches. You’ll look us straight in the eyes and say ” it’s going to be windy, you might see a couple palm frawns blow down, and yes we will get rain with some flooding in prone areas. That’s it. Be aware of your surroundings, and be safe. ” Not an actual quote but I think pretty dang close.
When Charlie came through. You: the storm took a hard right and it is coming. If you have not already evacuated, buckle down. It’s safer than to try and travel at this point.
Good or bad, always truthful. Going to miss you. Best of luck.
-Jonathan
Best wishes to you Jim. You are the best weatherman SW Florida ever has had.
-Paul Bromme
Ever since I moved to Florida, I’ve been watching WINK News, Jim made it easier for me to calm down before a big storm hits our area. Have a happy retirement and stay safe.

Oh no! I can’t imagine going through a hurricane without you Jim Farrell. Thank you for everything! I rank you with my hometown Tom Skilling, and that is the highest weatherman praise possible. Congratulations on your retirement and all good wishes. You will be missed!
