In a magazine published in Paris in 2009, Mr. Lam Di Moc called for the Vietnamese language to be preserved, not to be destroyed, but throughout the article, the author criticized those who used words such as: Soldier , CROSSFISHER, RED CHAMPION, FOUNDATION FOUNDATION, WHITE BUILDING, STAR QUIET … the excuse that it is the “mountainous” language of communist Vietnam and can only use words such as: LUAN QUAN, THUAN THUAN WAR, POLISH COURT, FIRE. The criticism was too contradictory and too harsh, not until 1945, the Vietnamese people of this time often translated those foreign words into their native language. I don’t believe it, I just go to the libraries to find and read books and articles published before 1945. Besides, WHITE HOUSE is translated by French as Maison Blanche, the Vietnamese call it “White House”; or PENTAGONE as the “pentagon”; or CROIX ROUGE as “Red Cross” is also correct. It is now possible to find other more accurate native language words to translate those foreign words.
