If those numbers are real, then masks and social distancing must not be working. People don’t know they have it and they are not staying home. They are putting us seniors and those of us who are immunocompromised at great risk. We have done an amazing job getting a vaccine ready in record time. from what was unknown. Why have we been dealing with cancer so long? If we don’t protect ourselves and others, we will have to have help from government just like seatbelts and stop signs, speed limits, bike lanes, etc. I understand what you are saying. However, if no one is tested, no cases will be reported except where there are deaths and post mortem is performed. I don’t understand why so much pressure is being put on people who refuse to take the vaccination. If you get the vaccine, won’t you be protected afterwards? Thank you for continuing to bring us the most current information and recommendations. There is a good share of Americans that are listening. It’s too bad our country has become selfish and easily led down the path of disinformation. It’s great to see the CDC knows Trump out so now they post factual info that contradicts his stupid rhetoric. Not that cult members will listen. Correct. The rise is due to not enough testing. People don’t know they have it and they’re not staying home. I work in a restaurant and just got tested today. I’m very cautious due to medical history and age, yet the risk is still there sometimes no matter how safe you think you are. Based on the increase in numbers we have learned wearing masks, social distancing, washing hands often, closing down businesses hasn’t worked at all. We have been wearing masks for months and it has not slowed the spread. Maybe it’s time to look at other solutions.
