We couldn’t produce the collection in Ukraine, because a lot of production is now focused on soldiers’ uniforms and [equipment]. I was introduced to Sustainable Fashion Matterz and Fashion Revolution Germany, who gathered together around 30 volunteers to produce the collection. It was challenging because I’m used to being in control of everything, but you have to put your trust into people. Everything was made in three or four days; it was a miracle. We have now found manufacturers in Europe [to produce the autumn/winter 2022 collection], and all the sales will go towards a cultural foundation in Ukraine so that we can rebuild after everything that’s happened.
