Tesla band is an American rock band came together in Sacramento, California in late 1981 by bassist Brian Wheat and guitarist Frank Hannon. Lead vocal Jeff Keith, drummer Troy Luccketta and guitarist Tommy Skeoch went along with them by 1984. Initially named City Kidd, the band transformed from its glam-derived sound to a ‘rootsier’ course under a new name: Tesla. In 1996, the band disbanded, with individuals giving themselves to solo undertakings. In 2000, they reformed, yet Tommy Skeoch left the band in 2006 and was replaced by Dave Rude.
