Carmella RamseyLisa Kemmis it doesn’t exist anymore. . Candice LudlowLisa Kemmis similar situation here. I’m 59. Finished my graduate degree in 1998. Debt was $38k. Now it’s well north of $90k. I rent. Work. Hope I’m not homeless when I can no longer work. I plan to work until 70 if I’m one of the “lucky ones.” . Elizabeth DierssenLisa Kemmis stop paying it! I have had the same experience ! Pay your mortgage , pay credit cards, save for emergency fund…but for god sake don’t pay this ridiculous student loan! . Viki Von FumettiLisa Kemmis You CAN pay off more than just the interest. You could pay $100-$200 more per month that would go 100% towards the debt. You would pay your debt off years earlier. And then apply the same $100 to $200 a month towards your retirement. That’s how people pay off their homes quicker as well.I’m more concerned about the seniors whose social security checks don’t even pay the premiums on their medications. Who literally have to choose between paying for insulin or paying for food. I believe that they should fix the Social Security system first so that you will not LITERALLY seen Seniors dying homeless. We may only have 4 years with this kind of power! We need to push through everything we can. 1. Student Debt2. Universal Healthcare3. Legalize Cannabis4. Expand Supreme Court and limit years of service5. Cut military spending by half6. Preserve abortion rights7. House the homeless 8. End corporate welfare9. Tax the billionaires, eliminate loopholes 10.End gerrymandering 28 . Linda WhitlowThank you for pushing for student loan forgiveness & reduction. America is so far off track in terms of higher education! Please help us to help our kids!!43 . Alex CheathamEconomic slavery is putting someone so far in debt that they can never pay it off. This puts them in position where they can’t say no to their employers. This creates the ability for employers to act badly without fearing loosing the employees that need their job to payoff their student loans. In short they now have the best educated slaves on the planet. Just a thought…61 There was a girl who really wanted to become a firefighter it was me the end poster
