Well deserved. I think Mayor Pete should be our next UN Ambassador. The many languages he speaks would be an enormous asset, as would his genuine interest in other cultures. . And, that’s the royal we.. My first volunteer summer job was WFP in West Africa. It is a wonderful organization operating internationally without bias. Refreshing.. Years ago, I listened to a talk Coleman McCarthy, journalist turned peace activist, gave to a high-school audience. His message was that the fastest way to peace was to take care of people’s basic needs. Of which food is one. Thank you!
Pete..driving through South Bend this morning. My first time here. Wish we could stop and have a coffee and say Hi.. No matter who you are, what party affiliation you have, where you live, you have to eat. So many go hungry in this world and an organization that tries to alleviate that problem is most deserving.
