Balancing only works if a defender knows he can match the opposite winger pace for pace but unfortunately Milner couldn’t. Whatever Milner failed to do, Gomez failed to do it as he still balanced far away from Foden hence we conceded. Henderson is obviously a good leader but lacks any real quality on the ball and not aggressive enough in the tackle..
